You may or may not know that I’ve been working with the guys behind Creative Boom quite a lot this year and was lucky enough to be involved in helping them update the website to their fantastic new design.

Well, the time has come for a Shrewsbury hub!

For anybody that isn’t already aware of Creative Boom, it was launched in July 2009, and includes news, events and regular features covering a wide range of creative sectors, including fashion, art, marketing, PR, film, photography, music, performing arts, design, illustration, animation, architecture and web development.

So, you’ve built this super cool website. You are really pleased with it and you set it live expecting great things. But wait, the client has rung you to say that when they search for their site on google their old listings are still there but when they click through they get ‘404 Error – Page Not Found’.

So we finally made it to 2010 and the noughties are at an end. I don't know what this means to all of you but to me it means its been 10 years since I graduated from university. Which successfully makes me feel very old! ~ grin!

Facebox is a great jquery plugin for a facebook style pop up window, I use it regularly because the style is neat and suits what I need with a minimum amount of changes. But what if your website is wider than the monitor it is displayed on?

Its not something that is often a problem, most web developers will tell you that horizontal scroll bars are a major 'no'.
