But wait, the client has rung you to say that when they search for their site on google their old listings are still there but when they click through they get ‘404 Error – Page Not Found’.

Happy New Year!

general, news
Creative Boom Birmingham HTML Enews So we finally made it to 2010 and the noughties are at an end. I don't know what this means to all of you but to me it means its been 10 years since I graduated from university. Which successfully makes me feel very old! ~ grin!

Its not something that is often a problem, most web developers will tell you that horizontal scroll bars are a major 'no'. There are always exceptions though, and I'm pleased to see more websites breaking away from standard conventions. If you have a page that you have set to 1800px wide or you have... Read More ...

Google Wave

applications and software, web trends
wave So, I've had access to 'Google Wave' for a few weeks now and my initial thought is ... Its really quite cool.

At first glance it does appear to be a lot like just another chat facility with an email inbox style layout. What is nice though is that each 'Wave' can have more than two people talking in them. You create your 'Wave' which appears as a message box on the right. Then add the people you want to 'Wave'.

Each of those people see the 'Wave' in their inbox as soon as they are added and they can all participate... Read More ...
